Payment is due at the start of each session and can be made through the SimplePractice client portal that I will connect you with once we begin our work together. Do you accept insurance?I do not accept insurance. I am classified as a Private Pay “out-of-network” provider—this means insurance companies may offer you partial reimbursement for my services, however, coverage may vary. I can assist you with the process by providing the necessary information to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
-
What types of therapy do you offer?Individual Therapy Individual therapy offers a collaborative, personalized approach to mental health, helping you navigate personal and interpersonal challenges, process past experiences, and build adaptive coping skills. By fostering a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, we work toward goals such as reducing anxiety, improving self-esteem, and breaking negative cycles. I incorporate treatment approaches from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help improve your well-being and manage life’s challenges with greater resilience. Family/Couples Therapy Family and Couples therapy aims to strengthen relationships and improve communication using methods like Brief Strategic Family Therapy and Collaborative Proactive Solutions. In sessions, we identify challenges and highlight each member’s strengths to address issues such as marital/partner difficulties, child emotional/behavior concerns, and major life transitions. Through evidence-based techniques, I promote understanding, empathy, and healthy interaction patterns that foster balanced, supportive relationships and encourage lasting change through open dialogue and collaboration.
-
Do you offer teletherapy?Of course! For those who need or prefer compassionate, effective therapy from the comfort of their home, I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform through SimplePractice.
-
Is Therapy Confidential?Yes, the law protects the confidentiality of the therapist-client relationship. This means our conversations are private and won't be shared with anyone without your written consent. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule to protect you and those around you: ● Suspected Abuse: If I suspect child, elder, or dependent adult abuse, I'm legally obligated to report it to the appropriate authorities. ● Imminent Danger: If you threaten to harm yourself or someone else, I may need to take steps to ensure your safety and the safety of others. This might involve contacting emergency services or informing relevant individuals.
-
What is your cancellation policy?Therapy is a mutual commitment. Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid being charged the full session fee. No-show appointments may result in the cancellation of future sessions.
-
Will I be able to contact you during nights or weekends? While I’m unable to take calls after work hours, please know that your care remains my top priority. I make it a point to return client calls within 24-48 hours during the workweek (Monday through Friday). For those moments when immediate support is needed, I’ve provided a list of emergency contact numbers to help bridge the gap until we connect again. You’re not alone—there’s always someone ready to help, and I’ll be here to follow up as soon as possible.

What is the Federal No Surprises Act?The No Surprises Act protects patients from unexpected medical bills, including in mental health care, by addressing out-of-network charges in emergency situations and for non-emergency services provided by out-of-network providers at in-network facilities. This includes private pay mental health services, where individuals seeking therapy or counseling at in-network facilities are shielded from surprise bills when receiving care from out-of-network providers. Patients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before receiving care, helping them make informed decisions. The goal is to protect patients from excessive charges, ensure more transparency in mental health billing, and provide greater clarity for those paying privately or with insurance.
